3 Day Diet
You know in my 10 years of
dieting and weight loss to maintain healthy eating habit's, I
have come across some truly bizarre eating plans.
This may include eating the same coloured foods to eating 6
hours apart, drinking only fruit juice to taking weight loss
pills. You name it, its out there.
I guess some unethical people play on the desperation of
others to lose weight. I don't know whether this particular 3
Day Diet fits the bill of such accusations but its probably
quite appealing to most as it only lasts for three short days.
The author, Jay Robb claims that if you partake in his 3 day
diet you can lose up to 9 pounds over a three day period. This
is quite a substantial amount of weight to lose and I do highly
suspect that a lot of it would be water! Lets take a closer
look at the finer details.
There is no doubt that Jay
Robb is a nutritional expert in the weight loss industry. He
does have a wide range of books and other weight loss products
available through his website - http://www.jayrobb.com/. The
official name of Jay's recent addition to his product line is
called The Fruit Flush - 3 Day Detox. And whilst I am a firm
believer of staying away from rapid weight loss programs, Jay's
theory may be the solution, seen as it only lasts for a few
days. Jay believes that fruit has natural detoxing properties
and benefits for healthy living. You could consider using his 3
Day Diet to prepare your body for longer term healthy eating by
cleansing the body of toxin and waste build up. Detox diets are
no picnic by any means but at least this one allows you to eat
a specific amount of fruit and other vegetables every couple of
hours. From what I have read it would still be quite difficult
to follow for most. However if you can make it through the
three days, the health benefits are some what of a
miracle.
Many Fruitarian's who follow a
strict fruit diet,
claim to have miracle reactions to eating fruit as the staple
part of their diets. Jay's 3 Day Diet maybe the better
alternative to reap the rewards of following such a
recommendation. I don't know what the long term effects of
partaking in either fruit diet would be. But I surely know that
you can't beat the long term benefits, typically from a heath
perspective as to following a well balanced eating plan. If you
decide to follow The Fruit Flush diet I would recommend that
you proceed to following something along the lines of Jenny
Craig or Weight Watchers once the detox phase is
over.
We also have a range of proven
weight loss, diet and exercise programs available on our
website. Rapid weight loss programs such as this 3 Day Diet are
never going to last and continued use may cause serious health
problems later on in life. A wide variety of carbs, proteins,
good fats and sugars as well as fresh fruit and vegetables are
renowned sources of foods to help you lose weight. Weight loss
programs that include these types of foods have a much higher
chance of success.
