Bodybuilding
Whilst many years
saw bodybuilding as predominately a man's sport, female
bodybuilding is growing by popular demand. More and more these
days you will easily find female bodybuilding only
competitions. The main focus of the sport is to increase muscle
mass on important parts of the body such as the legs, arms,
shoulders and abs etc. It can be quite difficult for women to
achieve success without the use of a strict diet and
bodybuilding supplements purely because the female body has a
higher fat percentage than that of a male. Most women wishing
to enter this profession generally seek the assistance of a
well known and proven bodybuilding trainer. This in turn can
save a lot of money, time and heart ache! Female bodybuilding
isn't for the faint hearted, total commitment, dedication and
loyalty to achieving the desired results is required. You can
expect to train 3-4 if not 5 days per week or more.
Female
bodybuilding isn't something that will happen over night. It
can take literally months and months or even years to achieve
complete muscle mass. It does take a lot of time to sculpt and
accentuate the muscles of the female body. Some women adapt
bodybuilding training simply as a means to participate in a
recreational fitness program whilst others are more keen to
participate in the different competition grades until they
reach the highest standard possible. The best advice we can
give is to take your time and plan your goals wisely. You could
begin with a less aggressive program such as body sculpting. We

Female
bodybuilding competitions are quite different from that of a
male bodybuilding competition. Men are judged on such areas as
symmetry and muscularity. Whereas women are judged on their
femininity. The prize money is also only a quarter of what a
male bodybuilder is likely to receive at competition level.
Sometimes female bodybuilders can look quite masculine which
may be the cause of taking several testosterone supplements.
Make sure female bodybuilding is right for you. Remember it
will take alot of your time, big changes to your diet and
social life. Check your local library for free information and
additional advice on the subject. Your local gym maybe able to
introduce you to a female bodybuilder who is able to give you
some inside information about the profession.
