Jenny Craig Diet | Weight Loss Plans
The diet industry is bursting at the
seems with so many weight loss plans. This can make it
difficult for anyone to chose between the right, wrong or
safe weight loss plans. This is a brief summary with regards to
some of the more poplular main stream diets.
The Jenny Craig Diet
Jenny Craig first opened it's doors in the early 1980's in
Australia. As it became one of the more popular weight loss
plans the company made its way to America in the mid 1980's.
Many dieters are fond of The Jenny Craig technique because of
the support given with program. You can learn about meal
portion control, overeating and general well being. The program
also teaches you about exercise and how you can get a balance
between becoming active and eating healthy. This
technique is about a life time change. It is a way of
developing better eating habits whilst increasing your energy
levels. There is another appealing convenience of purchasing
pre-packaged meals and cook books.
Weight Watchers
I have participated in both the Jenny Craig and Weight
Watchers weight loss plans. I do find a great deal of
similarity in them both. Weight Watchers have great support,
weekly weigh in's, books and recipes. They teach you about
portion control. You have the convenience of using a points
based system opposed to a calorie counting system. They have
their own brand of food which is not necessary to buy. You have
the flexibility of dinning out and eating the foods that you
like but it does come with portion control.
Calorie Shifting
This has recently become one of newest weight loss plans. It
comes under various names and has a focus on changing the
amount of food you eat in every seating. The idea is to
determine your weekly calorie count. Each day varies in the
amount of calories eaten per meal. At the end of the week the
amount of food you have eaten should equate to your weekly
caloric intake. I think the theory is to keep the body guessing
what it is going to have next. It seems to be a technique used
to avoid reaching a plateau. So overall if you were supposed to
have 10,500 calories per week. On Monday you may decide to have
1,900 calories and on Tuesday you may decide to have 1,750
calories etc. By the time you reach Sunday evening you should
have eaten a total of 10,500 calories.
SureSlim
I am not a fan of this method but it may be of interest to
you. In fact I rate this program as one of the worst weight
loss plans on the planet! There are some people that I
personally know who have lost weight using this program, that's
not the issue.
Its more about the technique used to do it. You can read
more about that from other Sureslim Reviews on the Internet.
Before you begin you have to take a blood test, this costs
around $800.00. From this point your Sureslim menu plan is worked
out and you are given a list of foods to eat. You can
only eat three meals a day five and a half to six hours apart.
Certainly not something I could do but it may appeal to you. I
however do not deem this as a safe weight loss method.
Chose your weight loss plans wisely. Losing 10 pounds or
more in one week is not healthy or good for you. Opt for
programs that are going to give you longer lasting results.
